Ge Chenhong, female, born in Beijing, is a Ph D. At present she is a professor and supervisor of the doctoral students in the Philosophy School of Renmin University of China, the chief of Teaching and Research Section of Ethics, the vice executive director in the Key Research Basis of Ethics of the Ministry of Education, the general secretary of the Institute of Ethics in Beijing City, the executive director in the Study Association of Chinese Kinship culture, the vice director in the Research Center of the Humane Olympics in Renmin University of China, the executive chief editor of Ethics, a central journal among the other journals and periodicals published in Renmin University of China. Her representative works are as follows: Moralized Outlook-The Research in the Moral Ideas of Confucianism, which in the year of 2000 wins her the second prize: the Excellent Achievement in the Area of Humanity •Society •Science in Beijing, Humanity, The Chinese Ritual Culture, The Construction of Morality (co- written, awarded the prize of National “Five Number One” in the area of Project in 1999), The China-featured Ethical Culture, The Customs and Rituals of Ancient China, and Everlasting Charm. Besides, Professor Ge has now have more than one hundred of academic essays issued in many journals, including The People’s Daily, Guangming Daily, Xinhua Digest, Modern Phososophy, Virtues and Civilization , Studies in Ethics and so on. Her main research field: social Ethics, the comparative study of Ethics between China and Foreign Countries, and the ritual civiliazaion.
